League Competition, Burgess Hill, January 2019

Orbit at The 1st Trampoline League Competition of 2019

There are three opportunities this year to compete and reach the finals in November, providing that enough points can be won. Only the first 24 trampolinists in each age group and level will score points.

On Saturday our two League 3 jumpers flew the flag for Orbit at Burgess Hill, the Triangle L.C. Freya Robinson, in her first foray into the league came 45th in the girls U18s competition of 70 competitors! So no points for Freya this time.

Although younger, Asami Gynn jumped for the second year, this time in the 11-12 girls and came a respectable 11th from 30 competitors. Definitely some points.

On Sunday our three hopeful girls, Rachel marsh, Millie Heathcote and Milly Cole all fell short of expectations, with both Millie/lly/s failing to complete and Rachel picking up very small points.

Our only male jumper, Charlie Roberts, saved the day, jumping with height and style to secure 2nd. place and a very useful 75 points.

This whole team will take part in the second event in Cardiff at the end of the month, and we hope for better fortunes for our girls.

Our thanks to our officials and parents.
