Orbit Milton Keynes
Team Qualifier, 26th March 2017, Alton
On Sunday 26th March, 23 Orbit trampolinists travelled to Alton in Hampshire to try for a place in the team.
Only the top two from each grade and age group could go through, and in some categories there were over 30 competitors. Our jumpers were from all ability levels ranging from NDP 1 to 7, and all ages from 6 to over 20 years.
From over 250 rivals Orbit secured 10 places and a few reserves, so roughly half of our team.
At NDP 1 in the 7-8 girls Summer Goldsmith took Gold and Faridah Lawal Bronze.
In the 9-10 girls Clara Marsh was 10th.
In the 11-12 girls Isobel Burrows was 11th and Madison Feegan 8th.
In the 13+ girls Sophie Chambers took Silver while her Sister Lucy was 4th.
At NDP 2 in the 9-10 girls, Libby-Leigh Corby took Silver.
Up at the 11-12 age, Grace Blackmore was 7th, while Lily Mundy held on to Bronze but Laura Kelly had another fine Gold.
Laila Carey was 5th in the 13+ girls and Lauren Muttitt gave her best performance of the year for a Gold.
At NDP 3 boys Under 13s, our sole male, Fraser Macpherson got us another Gold.
In the 13+ girls Sammie Goddleman took Silver and her team mate Charlotte Blackmore had the Gold.
Moving up to NDP 4, in the 13+ girls, Helena Bloomfield took 11th place after managing to save her routine. Rachel Marsh was 5th and Imogen Wells took Silver.
Up at NDP 5, in the 13-14 girls Olivia Webb jumped very consistently to take the Gold.
In the 15+ girls Rebecca Dormer fell foul of injury, but Milly Cole stole another Gold.
Finally, at NDP 7, Ritchie Clarke got off to a fine start, but fell in his second routine to end his quest.
Our thanks to all our parents, officials, helpers and supporters who make our competitions possible.
