Milton Keynes Regional Grading Trampoline Competition. Sunday March 29th. ‘09
For once, the members of Orbit Milton Keynes trampoline Club did not have to travel up or down the country, only having to go as far as Bury Lawn School in Stantonbury. This rare luxury was certainly enjoyed by our competitors as the results clearly show. The competition ranged from grade G, the lowest level, to grade D, the highest.
Beginning with the youngest, this is how they fared;
Girls U 9 Grade G
Having made a disastrous mistake in the opening routines, Natalia McLaughlin performed a much improved voluntary routine to take 3rd. place.
Grade G U11 girls
Tamzin Wilson jumped with good style, picking up a qualifying score and coming 4th. Lauren McEvaddy didn’t quite give her usual best coming in 9th. place.
Girls grade F U 11
Tionne Cumberbatch jumped as well as she can in training, and took 1st. place with a qualifying score for the next grade up.
Girls U13 Grade G
Five girls competed for honours here, against 33 and took the 2nd. team place. Individually, Ciara O’Brien came 32nd. having had a major error in one routine, Lucy Pangbourne was 22nd. Kelsey Wilson 10th. Zoe Taylor 7th. and having a fine competition, Abigail McEvaddy was 1st. and gained a qualifying point.
Boys U13 Grade G
In his first competition for the club Nicholas Breslin was 2nd.
Girls U13 grade F
Laura Cumino and Megan McLaughlin showed a clean pair of heels to the other competitors, taking 1st. & 2nd. places respectively and Laura also gaining a qualifying score.
Girls U15 Grade G
Our team of four took 3rd. team place and Christine Brown was narrowly 4th. but picking up a qualifying point, Grace Marsh 15th. also gaining a point, Martha McKinnell 18th. and Caitlin Bird 23rd.
Girls U15 Grade D
Hollie Leung, Roisin O’Brien and Millie Ciciura all stayed close to the bull’s eye and took 1st. team place by a country mile. Individually, Hollie was 1st. Roisin 3rd. both scoring enough to move up to C, and Millie was 4th. also scoring a qualifying point.
Boys U15 Grade D
Only two boys arrived for this event, Lewis Wheeler and Hogan Leung, but that didn’t stop them from competing tooth and nail. After the set routine, Hogan was in first position by two tenths, but after the voluntary, Lewis was ahead by four tenths. Places were finally settled in the final jump-off with Lewis taking 1st. place and a bonus point, and Hogan settling for 2nd. place this time.
Girls O15 Grade D
Second team place went to our girls Rebecca Novak, Katrina Stubbs, Sylvia Kusnierz and Hannah Ward. Rebecca won the event with enough to move up to C, Katy was 6th. and gained a qualifying point, Sylvia was 18th. and had already accumulated sufficient to move to C, and Hannah was 20th.
Girls O17 Grade G
Rebekah Peters gave a neat and reliable performance to secure 4th. place and a qualifying point.
A very good set of results and great effort from all performers. Thanks to all who officiated, supported, and generally gave up their time, without whom we could not survive.
