Charity Trampoline Competition Brentwood School Brentwood. 19th. April ‘09

Georgia Cordery is a brave 13 yr. old with a rare form of cancer.

Georgia and her family have decided selflessly to set up Georgia’s Teenage Cancer Appeal to raise funds for research into her rare form of cancer and to support other families on her ward at University College Hospital, London, where she has chemotherapy.

Celebrities friends and family launched the appeal on 30th. January, and there will be a series of high profile events over the next nine months to raise money and to give Georgia something to focus on each month. This competition was one small but important event, which clubs from all over the country were invited to and which we gladly entered. Sadly, Georgia was no longer able to compete herself but gained great satisfaction from handing out the medals and trophies.

The results:

U9 & 11 Boys & Girls ‘G’
Our four girls jumped very well to take 1st. team place, along with fine individual positions. Olivia Wilson was half way up the field in a steady 8th. Natalia McLaughlin was 4th. Lauren McEvaddy 2nd. and Tamzin Wilson took 1st. place.

U13 Girls ‘G’
Kelsey Wilson was in the top half of the jumpers in 6th. place, while Ciara O’Brien excelled herself to lie in equal 3rd. place only to finish 4th. on countback.

U13 & U15 Boys
In his first competition, Jack Alkhalil overcame his nerves to complete both routines, all that could be asked on a first occasion, but he was 5th. anyway.
Nicholas Breslin jumped well to take 3rd. place.

U15 Girls ‘G’
After a nervous start, Caitlin Bird completed both routines, finishing in the top ten places. Christine Brown raised her game beyond expectations to take 1st. place.

All U13 ‘F’
Our three girls here took 1st. place with three very good individual performances along the way.  Abigail McEvaddy was 6th. Laura Cumino 2nd. and Megan McLaughlin went for gold with 1st. place.

All Ages Girls ‘D’
Improving on her results this season, Hannah Ward came in the top half of the field in 8th. place, while Roisin O’Brien jumped as we know she can, taking 1st. place.

A good day’s competing with the entries, raffles etc. going to a good cause. We wish Georgia and her family all the luck in the world.
